Our discussion about depreciation last week got me thinking, "What's the depreciation value of cellular phones?" For most people nowadays, switching phones every now and then is a trend. But how much money are they really losing?
According to a report from priceonomics, brand new cell phones lose a big percentage of their value over the first year! As a matter of fact, the average cell phone loses about 50 % of its value during its first year! (With the exception of iphones, of course!)
So would changing phones all the time save you money? No! Therefore, the next time you're going to buy a brand new phone, make sure it's for keeps!

How to Fill Out a Check
Many of us at our age don't have our own check
books yet. But for sure, sooner or later, we'll also be handling
these magical pieces of "paper-turning-into-money" called checks.
So for us not to waste these pieces of paper when the time comes
that we'll need to use them, we should have the knowledge on how to fill them
out properly. So how do we do it?
Using the picture below as a guide, these are the
thing to be written in a check:
1. The current date
2. Who the check gets paid to
3. How much (in numeric form) the payment should be
4. How much (in written form) the payment should be
5. Your signature
Tips and reminders:
1. Always use a pen so that nobody can alter your
writing.
2. Be very neat and careful in writing the needed
information.
3. Make sure you write only the exact amount of
money to be paid.
There you go! Hope this helps!

Math-erial World
We live in a Math-erial World
I have a baby brother. He's now 1 year old and 4 months. When he was 6 months old, one of the first things he learned was to count from 1-5 with his fingers! Amazing isn't it? This proves to show that we live in a Math-erial world!
When we were little, we were taught the basics of Math like counting, adding and subtracting numbers, skip counting (this topic was really fun to memorize!) and much more. Since then, I've learned to love Math!
However, I know not everyone loves Math. But who are we kidding? We can't avoid Math! It's everywhere! (Okay, sorry for over-reacting :)) ) I mean, from simple telling of time, to brain-bleeding problem-solving equations at school (which, by the way, we apply in our everyday lives), Math is inevitable. We use it from the time we wake up in the morning, to see if we're late for school or not; until the the time we get ready for bed, to count sheep when we can't manage to get our sleep! We use it at home, at work, in school, in other countries, and even in the most unusual places we could ever imagine. Honestly, if I write all the things we use Math for, I might run out of letters and my keyboard might just give up on me! You get my point :D
So all of this is a clear proof of how important Math is in our lives. So maybe, just maybe, those who hate it would somehow learn to love it. Just the way I did, when I was little. :D
